This card is available at the beginning of the game when your cards first unlock (no random unlock) and imo its the best way to play this game atm. I don't know if they added it to the default game but I know it came with the SoLA DLC.
I would highly recommend anyone finding the game too easy to pop this card on, or once they beat the game and want to do other playthroughs to use this card.
It actually makes card synergies, weapon synergies, weapon mods, and all other things that go into make builds in this game, and it really elevates the combat encounters as it makes you approach them tactically rather then only hacking an slashing away.
Furthermore, the further you get in the game, the higher the loot drop quality.
In my 30 years as a player, I have detected that when you don't die in a game, not even remotely, in three hours, it is because it is very easy. As I have also detected that a soul can die in the first 5 minutes several times.
For me, a simple game like this one, where you don't die easily, becomes boring.
I don't know what you intend with your message.
It's not meant to be a super hard game but you can increase difficulty with one of the cards if you feel like it. Or you can wander off and fight zombies that are a higher level than you that will kill you very quickly. Up to you.
so enable the masochist card, everyone has it from the beginning, so do you and you know it, you have simply chosen not to activate it and came here to complain instead
I haven't played it yet, so can't say one way or another. I guess it depends on WHY you haven't died. Maybe zombies don't do any real damage and aren't a threat, or maybe your 30 years has made you a better player.
But if you're bored after 3 hours, deaths or not, for sure play something you like.
I don't have that card and it seems stupid to have to look for a card so that the game isn't a piece of cake.
The game starts getting more difficult after 3 hours + though, most games start off easy.
In other words, if you're playing this on PC, you're experienced dumbed down AI that reacts to slow gamepad movement. Of course it's going to be easy.
This is why they add nonsense like cards to artificially increase difficulty without spending time on interesting AI/enemies.
Honestly, I saw someone play this game on YouTube, and the card system alone was enough or me to never bother with it. That YouTuber is also trash at games (MKIceAndFire) and even he's breezing through this game.
All devs would have to do to increase difficulty is alter the amount of food/drink spawn/healthkits.
