Coop doesn't really add much to this game and no there's no AI buddy.

So if you think you can enjoy the game, solo is viable.

If not mistaken , coop makes the game easy? like rush feast? This is what i recalled playing the first dead island.

My guess is playing solo is hard mode. And coop is easy mode.

I personally tend to like these type of games solo, you can do whatever you want, side quest whenever, side track into random stuff on your own etc.

Solo you are not tied to someone else's time, your time in solo you do whatever you want.

I'm not super far, a little over an hour, but I've found it perfectly viable to this point if a tad tedious regarding searching for loot.

If you want to take your time and explore and look for hidden items then you will most likely want to play solo. That how I'm playing. It's more of a challenge solo, especially boss fights.

Playing with others is more "fun" if you have friend or just enjoy social gaming. And it makes the game easier. As with any game, your milage will vary playing with randos.

Couldnt agree more. I played with some friends on PS5 and its was always rush this and rush that and I wasnt really enjoying myself. now that I have it on PC im having a blast playing solo

90hrs in solo and still going. As others have said its a single player game with co-op as an option, as no content is missed by playing by yourself and you really only end up making the game too easy by playing solo.

Just like the first game you can play it either way and get enjoyment.

Right on Mike! The game truly is a blast to play. looking forward to the DLCs
