Any way to turn down gore?

I'm not really a sensitive guy, I play a lot of violent games. Gore, gibs flying 'n' all.

But somehow DL2's "FLESH" system allowing you to bash faces in and other gruesome stuff feels like too much for me. Is there way to turn this down to old Dead Island \ Dying Light levels? DL2 looks fun, but if what's the point of buying it if I feel discomfort or avoid finishers on purpose? Is there an option for that?

The german version is not less gory.
Only difference is that you can't hit dead zombies on the ground.
(Which is moddable btw for everyone who wants to do this but got the german version)

^ this. dead island has always been about the extreme gore and dismemberment. you shouldnt be looking for this type of game at all if gore bothers you.

Imagine buying this game and complaining about gore. It's not even realistic, it's comedical like Mortal Kombat.

It's always a classic when people actively want to hurt what they like by simply turning off new fans

But no I don't think there currently is a less gore mode, could even be a performance enhancer option if it ever was though

I wouldn't say extreme. And that's why I finished every Dead Island before, Dying Light 1 and halfway through 2 (got bored because early on there was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of progression bugs) and I never encountered the same problem.

wtf..the gore is the best part in this game..I love how you can litraly slice the gut and the stomach falls out..anyone that wants to turn down the gore should not be playing this game. stick to my little pony and poly in my pocket.

I don't think anyone is being mean or "gate-keeping" you its just the gore system is literally what makes this game what it is and if you dumb it down or take it way you have lesser of a game.

Sometimes you have to look and say "that game is not for me" and move on with your life as not every game or dev can accommodate each of our personal preferences.
