gun variety?

So I'm a bit over halfway into the game, and I was wondering about guns.
So far I've picked up about 2 variations of the shotgun and hunting rifle. All other guns, heavy handgun, handguns, machine pistol, assault rifle etc only seem to have one model.

Are there other variations of guns in the game? I'd be rather disappointed if that's it. I'm not expecting Borderlands, but I was hoping for a few different skins and maybe a randomized scope etc.

Nope, there are about 6 firearms and they're all 'basically' the same except for their tier / skill level.

You've seen them all (if you did not finish Haus for the crossbow or SoLA for the disc launcher) ..
They change their model a bit with mods and perks..

Once you've unlocked the base upgrades for the weapons the game kinda stops giving you more unique toys after that, you just end up getting better stat sticks to apply the elements for

Definitely shallow and annoying they lock the more spicy weapons behind overpriced DLC

A bit disappointing, but it's better than nothing I guess. There should a gun focused DLC to add some variety or new mechanics to guns.

They're very useful against apex zombies though.
