Also, as a personal suggestion, don't buy games twice for PC, you can pretty much always play with anyone on PC regardless of launcher. Just tryin to save you some $$
i do it all the time with games i really really like ..
(or the Devs)
Especially from their OWN platform ..
i only recently started buying games on steam (again) ..
so most of the games i purchased else where was because of my fall out with steam ..
(steam has loads of issues)
i only got this one on steam because steam had it and Dead Island Series doesn't have their own platform ..
i use the steam version np's ..
however when i do have audio issues (on any game or platform) i go to device manager ..
and uninstall *every audio device* (without uninstalling drivers) ..
restart system and sounds normally correct itself ..
~hope that helps
Fair enough, like I said, was just bein friendly :)
The music actually tells you there's something coming ..
i prefer just hearing foot steps and running so i normally lower music ingame ..
but in this case i have to bring music level up a notch ..
from 10 to 20 ..
Its annoying because it seems like the issue is just getting ignored, even though I've paid my money for a faulty product. The game has been out for a while now and this issue has been reported by many users from day one and it still hasn't been resolved.
i had to increase head set volume but that for most part is the new game(s) today ..
i don't lose volume at any time ..
i only had to increase music volume to hear warning music of impending doom ..
i normally turn off all game music -totally so i can hear all game sounds ..
but instead had to turn music up from 10% to 20% ..
~pretty use to it now
what Titus said. I changed every setting under the sun with no effect. Volume still remains at 5-10% of what it should be. You can barely hear anything.
I spent several weeks back'n'forthing with tech support that barely spoke english and they kept passing me around between them. they had no clue either.
