Movement Stuttering Issue in Dead Island 2

I have Dead Island 2, and for the past few days, my character has been experiencing stuttering when I move with the keyboard. It feels like something is interfering with the movement (it's not a PC performance issue; it feels as if something is interrupting the action of moving). This issue doesn't occur in any other game, only in Dead Island 2 and only for the past few days.

I've tried resetting the game controls, but that didn't help. Additionally, I've noticed that when I try to dismantle a weapon in the inventory using the F3 key, the action gets interrupted midway and doesn't let me dismantle anything.

A minority of players get impacts on the perfomance causing quick stutter for couple seconds after long hours playtime as so do I but you...whoa! You're the first I read this symptom.

Although long....long time ago in a distant......forum game, original owners and players of Dead Island had big trouble with mouse lag, making the whole game unberable to play. I had this issue. There was a modder that generated a tool to allow to configure deep settings normally couldn't solving nasty perfomance issues.

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, it's not a performance issue because the environment remains fluid. It's not about FPS drops but rather something preventing actions as if a key were being held down. Both mouse and keyboard movements work fine individually. I'll give an example: when I press the "W" key to move forward, it's as if it takes a step and stops, then another step, and so on. The same thing happens with the F3 key to disassemble objects, moving forward, backward, diagonally, etc. It happens with anything that requires holding down a key. I also noticed that when I press the CHAt menu button, it behaves the same way, opening and closing by itself. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I've disabled everything on the system. Another thing I've noticed is that when I exit the game on Steam, it stays on "closing" but doesn't actually finish closing. However, I'm not sure if this last issue is related.

I am quite frustrated with this situation; I can't find anything similar on Google or anywhere else.

All I can think of combinations that may cause to stop complete keyboard buttons is if you press 3-4 buttons at the same time or tap multiple times SHIFT it will bip and bring window prompt command. Either deactivate that or use Dambuster Studio support center and contact them.

Verify game files once a week ..

In your case ..

i would also go to Device Manager and ..

Uninstall both keyboard(s) (all of them) and then Mouse ..
(don't let system restart after keyboard uninstall wait until after uninstalling mouse)

Then do a power off (power boot up on/off button) shut down ..

system will reinstall those devices on it's own on next boot up ..

Are you using a high usb polling rate?
It can cause this issue.
