Cross-Play

I know the FAQ says cross-play between Steam and Epic but will the consoles be added at some point?
Our group is 2 PCs, 1 Xbox and 1 PS player.
We would all love to play this together.

can you guys explain how you got crossplay to work
i have the game through epic and my friend has his through steam
we both made sure to link our epic n steam accounts but still cant join or invite each other
