1. What is Dead Island 2?
Dead Island 2 is a thrilling First-Person Action RPG; stylish, vibrant and flooded with zombie infection. 2. When will Dead Island 2 be released on Steam?
22 April 2024

3. Can I play Dead Island 2 solo or is it multiplayer-only?
Dead Island 2 features both single-player and multiplayer modes. Players can enjoy the game solo or team up with friends for some cooperative zombie-slaying fun.

4. Will it be possible to play cross-play with friends?
Dead Island 2 has cross-play functionality for PC versions only, so it is possible for friends to play together on Steam and Epic Games.

5. Do I need Epic Games Launcher to play Dead Island 2 on Steam?
The Epic Games Launcher isn't required to play the game. If you prefer enjoying either single-player or multiplayer with other Steam users, you won't need the Epic Games Launcher.

However, for crossplay with players who own the game on Epic, linking to your Epic Games Account is necessary to sync up friends lists.

Additionally, if players wish to unlock extras through PROS (such as skins, etc.), they will NOT need to link an Epic account.

Will there be future plans in adding tall buildings, midtown neighbors or downtown of L.A.? Like being able to explore apartment buildings or these level map segments are too restricted? Is it going be something like in Dead Island on resort level map where there are plenty areas to explore, few places in the hotel but what about inside and more interior places like more of everything just to roam around and play the game.

In Dead Island that was fun, even on Dying Light 2 still is but that game felt very discontinued in many ways. What do you think about exploration on the urbanized city of Los Angeles is going to be?

I have the game on Epic, FSR looks so bad, and it still crashes at workbench, game needs dlss support desperately. Even XeSS 1.3 would be ok. Anything is better than FSR.

There's been a patch from 15.04. You're saying it's still crashes? I don't know what to say then. They're going to drop it on Steam soon and after that there will be no support and no patches.

Could you please clarify if potential customers need an epic account to:

• Play the game in singe player mode
  If not, are there any disadvantages, like not receiving any sort of in-game skins, weapons, or other unlocks (now/future) which are not part of DLCs purchased with any of the editions offered on the steam store.
  
  
• Play Co-Op with steam players
  I'm not talking about cross play with EGS players or console tho.

Which is just plain wrong. And you know that. Stop lying. But hey - forget about the change since 2015. Forget about "Hey - actually, you can release it with uncut gore effects - we don't mind."

You just don't want to anger Epic, because as soon as you release it on Steam "like it should be", Timmy's going to have a hissy fit on X.

You could let people buy uncut keys. Do you know how it feels like 99% of all the other games out there - which is hardly necessary since almost everything is available uncut anyway. But you are actively preventing this and somehow it seems to me as if you like it a little bit too much.

Why do we need the Epic Account for extra PROS Skins? I'm not sure I get the technical reasoning behind this. Doesn't make any sense to me. I'm not interested in any Epic Cross Play, however in the free rewards I am interested since I have a PROS Account already for WWZ.

And obviously PROS supports linking to Steam for Dead Island 2 as per their page, so what do I need the Epic Account for? Can you clarify this please @PLAION_Kseniia
