No, that's not a threat, just saying it how it is.
I can no longer recommend it in good faith, unfortunately.
There is a notification on the store page that seems to mislead people (myself included.)

Could you please clarify if potential customers need an epic account to:
If not, are there any disadvantages, like not receiving any sort of in-game skins, weapons, or other unlocks (now/future) which are not part of DLCs purchased with any of the editions offered on the steam store.
I'm not talking about cross play with EGS players or console tho.

I've actually opened support-ticket on the publishers site now. If i'll get answers and are permitted to share them, i'd gladly do that :)
Why not follow Bethesda's example and let pre-order players redeem one directly
