Feedback after my first time in game
The concept behind this flight adventure survival sim is really original and is why I decided to purchase this EA title.
Upon loading I was met with a screen asking me to plug in a game controller - which I obliged. I remember seeing the screen config - made some changes. The game loaded up and I had a chance to walk around and get familiar with the plane's systems.
I went to setup my HOTAS and found some limitations there - having to do with view panning options. Could not get my throttle (edit: joystick) mouse pointer to be recognised as a means to move camera around. So I am reliant on having to use a mouse for viewing while also having to use my joystick for control (or switch to keyboard) One partial solution might be to add keyboard panning support.

I managed to get the plane off the ground and did my first rough landing at a remote location that slightly damaged the wing of the plane. I got to explore the crash area a bit and found that water is not something to go swimming in. Hope that changes in future so that there will be support for that and rod fishing as well.
I read the dev is considering adding seaplanes - I hope this will occur - also a good excuse for a player deployable dinghy.

After a reload I made a second landing on a beach with a lot more grace.
As in most games one is always trying to get the best performance and proper configuration to maximise the game experience.
I went about this trying new settings in the screen config area as well as the controls section. Little did I know I was playing with fire as something in that config has stopped me from being able to load any of the missions. After selecting a mission, it appears as if loading and after about 3 blips on screen, it flashes to the screen config and then a CTD.

Anyone know what might be going on? I have tried a file integrity check - even reinstalled but the old config files still seem to be there. Tried to find and delete the configs responsible but no joy.

Anybody with an idea of how to fix my install?

just to let you know - here I am - downloading - maybe will try short "hop" tonight - or in next few days - wonder how it will go with my Thrustmaster Airbus joystick ..

EDIT:
this will be interesting one..
flight part was not hard - although requires some adjusting to this particular "physics engine" ..
- successfully assigned flight controls - but struggled with "View" controls
- neither joystick, keyboard or mouse assigned worked for looking in cabin
- to find the door to exit the plane - don't know what pressed right - but suddenly "menu" with "E" to exit appeared .. (and looked "eye to eye with bear
- never make a "run" so fast - to cabin ..)
- and there only managed to "disasemble" knife - instead of selecting from holster ..
- will visit this again tomorrow - enough for tonight ..

- for me - "survival" part will require more learning - didn't played such games for long time - although looks fun ..

Hey darko, Glad you got to try it :) Haven't got so far as to see the bear - also didn't enable survival mode yet either.
Gonna try another restart - this time with gamepad plugged in. Hoping it's some kind of controller issue that is causing the CTD.
Edit: Nope same issue, crashes while loading mission..

I think it's time to remove this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game from my account. Check my review to see that I used to own this crap.
Yeah I noticed you were one of the early players - so many reviews dude - I only found a short one by you in regards to lack of progress. Can't say that's not discouraging, I hope improvements won't be too long to wait for - I get that it's a single dev working on it so he has a life too. Sometimes community can speed things along - being optimistic, and perhaps the dev will get some wind at his back?

i think i had to delete registry entries for the game a while ago when i had a similar issue, it was fine after removing them and reinstalling to make a fresh set

Yeah, I think all settings are contained in the Registry.

After uninstalling the game - then searching and deleting the reg entries I could - reinstalled game - and the crash issue disappeared.
