all fps counters are false.
Its running at 59.9 FPS
press * at your num pad to show the real fps
That seems kinda insane.
I have to say though, the intro with the daddy was quite something. I had chills.
Also can confirm overlays incorrectly display 120 fps, as my monitor has a built in FPS counter based on it's current gsync refresh rate and the game is indeed running at 60 FPS.
For any other gsync users I suggest leaving all settings default and the game will lock to 60 just fine.
i tried another enboost from the internet.
fpslimiter still doesnt work correctly. it always caps my fps to 60. doesnt matter what number i type in there. it wont go higher than 60.
HOWEVER
the Vsync now finally works. it doesnt halve my FPS anymore. its butter smooth 144fps. it ALSO displays steams and rivatuners FPS counter correctly now.
but since i dont like vsync because of its input lag, i disabled it again and used rivatuner's fps limiter instead. capped my fps 142 and everything works perfectly smooth now.
anyway, i compared the enblocal.ini from the internet with the enderal one. and i found the setting which completely destroys my FPS in half.
it is called FixLag=true. yes unironically its name is fix lag, lol.
its at the bottom of the settings
[FIX]
FixGameBugs=true
FixParallaxBugs=true
FixParallaxTerrain=false
FixAliasedTextures=true
IgnoreInventory=true
FixTintGamma=true
RemoveBlur=false
FixSubSurfaceScattering=true
FixSkyReflection=true
FixCursorVisibility=false
FixLag=true
so i deleted the enb file form the internet, and copied back the enderal one. then JUST changed fixlag to FALSE.
and as nvidia CEO jensen would say: IT JUST WORKS
hope it helps other people too. have fun playing enderal with high frame rates
Heavy moddle skyrim-> Engine not can handle that and fps drops.
And I have to say it is weid how the game stutters in the intro area :(
And during loadings there is the windows loading circle as if the game frozen.
Maybe I need to install it to SSD...I figured it was such old engine it has to run fine.
But the GPU requirements seem weird. GPU only runs at 30% of its capacity and yet framerate plummets when I look at the overall area at the start.
read the first post in this thread by kabooth2006
i tried this and so far it works.
without it i had water disappearing and flickering bugs etc. with the tweak enabled i have none of such things. so far works perfectly. as i said in my last post, everyhting is butter smooth now.
however if i do get physic bugs i will report back in this thread. but i dont think it will happen, according to everyone else on reddit.
Maybe tone down the settings a bit, especially Shadows and Anti Aliasing as well as draw distance is really demanding.
As others have said, the real FPS are displayed with the * Key on the num pad.
Funnily enough I do not have numpad on my keyboard (logitech K400) but it doesnt matter.
I also want to say that the music in the intro is really atmospheric and that start sequence was really impressive. I am excited to play Enderal in full, although I will get to it later. Thanks for your insane work.
One last question, is Enderal fully compatible with controller? It appears to be from the brief test, but I want to be sure. I want to play it on TV.
scroll down to the bottom and change FixLag=true to false
it fixed lots of problems for me including showing the correct fps numbers.
fix:
go into the enderal folder, look for enblocal.ini
scroll down to the bottom and change FixLag=true to false
this fixed Vsync for me and in addition steam, rivatuner etc show the correct FPS numbers.
in general i have better / smoother performance now. try at your own risk ( well there isnt really a risk, if it doesnt work just change it back to 'true' )
maybe it helps other people too. have fun playing enderal
also if it does fix problems for you, please be sure to confirm that in this thread. the more attention this problem gets, the more likely the devs will fix it.
