Missing elevator switch in Old Dothulgrad
I went back to Old Dothulgrad to do the other quest that takes place there, and this elevator doesn't have a lever anymore. I don't even remember where it was the first time I was here, but it's nowhere to be found now.

The elevator ID is 0003f626, and it's at the end of the only long tunnel near the surface of Old Dothulgrad. On SureAI's forums, it says the lever disappears due to mods, but I have a mod-free game.

Can anyone tell me where the lever is supposed to be?

I also suspect if you entered this dungeon before that it may be glitched as the lever may only be there once. I think that as I have attempted to enter this dungeon again afterwards to see if I missed a magic collectable ... and couldn't get down as the lever wasn't there.

So I have gone down there when I was with Calia, but cannot go down afterwards on my own.

Calia never activated it. I went back to a much older save and repeated those quests, and she just stood there like the first time. The lever was there on the reload, on the back "wall" of the lift, and I managed to finish all that progress a second time and managed to get Tealor to actually give me the follow-up quests this time around.

Weird that it disappears like that though, since if you do miss something, like that collectible symbol there, you're screwed in getting it, without console cheats. And this bug was reported on the SureAI forums a long time ago, and it was put off by one of the devs as being a glitch due to mods added to the game. Which is not true.

Speaking of lever weirdness in Old Dothulgrad, the lever near the end, in that huge room where the conversations take place with Hallys, just pops in conveniently when you need it, kind of like how Hallys does. (You can look down the corridor while Calia is talking about the treasure, and you can see Hallys just appear out of thin air there, shouting about something and then running toward you!)

This is the final area without lever..

Then, talk to Calia and LIshari, and voila.. Lever!

Oh, and for anyone else looking for the lever and thinking they were going crazy, because I did. And searched for this thing for way too long, thinking it must be hidden somewhere.. This is where it's supposed to be.

I marked Eternie's post as the one that Solved my question, because Steam won't let me pick one of my own posts as the answer.

Many things in quests work like that, they just appear in a certain moment to prevent you from interacting with them. Like that lever, you would've activated it the moment you saw it if it'd been there from the start and it probably would break the quest.

About the other, disappearing lever. It seems that it is disabled at the end of Deus Ex Machina quest. What other quest requires you to go there? (apart from that quest and the apparition one?)

Also, that editor id is a DustMist's id. It's easy to miss, because it's invisible and sometimes its id can show instead of the one you want when you click something. The correct id is 3f626.

I don't remember one this blatantly obvious, where a lever just pops into view, but ok.

There is a collectible there, but I got it before I left. If someone were to NOT grab it, it's gone for good the way that area is set up. Also, someone else posted on the SureAI forum that there is a Soul in this area that he tried to go back for, but couldn't return to that area to get it.

Thanks for the info. Edited my post.

You normally wouldn't stand there during the conversation with Hallys I would guess. And I'm just saying how it works. Similar thing happens when you go to meet Lishari in the Dancing Nomad. I don't know if you've done that quest or not, but the evidence is not there when you first get there.

Why would you do that? A post doesn't need to have an answered tick ... though if you answer your own post being able to tick that as the answer would be appropriate!

Because it is as solved as it's gonna get, and some people prefer to have threads marked as Solved when they're solved.

I just wanted to go back and retrieve a bunch of loot I had stuffed in a barrel because I was way over carrying capacity. Guess this means I am out of luck. Any chance the lever may be restored?

@Metuck12 It seems to be a one time visit location
My suggestion would be to load a previous save whilst you were there and if needed use god mode in console tgm to carry what you need out.

Either way stuff you put into a barrel in a dungeon more than likely wouldn't be there anymore as the game respawns loot containers. So you'd definitely want to load a previous save to get all your Loot back.
