Esme, won't follow - Old Ishmartep

Quest: Our Mark on the World. I'm pretty sure she's supposed to follow you in to Old Ishmartep at this stage of the quest. I've talked to her and her only dialogue options are on Tara and life as a minstrel. I've zoned in and out repeatedly, reloaded the game, same story. She won't follow me in. I'm not using any mods, just plain vanilla Enderal.

Anyhow, I can get into Old Ishmartep myself, but I can't get past the next door as it requires a key that I imagine Esme has.

Any help would be appreciated.
