[Spoiler] In the long term, the Beacon doesn't make sense
In retrospect, the High Ones centering their reproductive system around a beacon sending a signal to force all consciousness to ascend and merge into a [s]Bretheren Moon[/s] High One doesn't work when the High Ones are not corporeal. Say their projection suffers a massive aneurysm, and goes on a rampage to destroy the beacon. Or suppose a meteor or a failed spell accidentally destroys the beacon before it can charge to full power. The BMs won in Dead Space because they were able to physically react to one of their brothers being stillborn because of two insane combat engineers. Violently. Here, the High Ones can only resurrect stuff. And for some strange reason, they cannot directly possess their projections to create beacons for them. Also: the black crystals. Where do they come from? Whatever the case, they're limited in quantity.

The Beacon is the Cleansing. Humans cause it with their greed fear and hatred as the High ones can only manipulate people. Makes sense to me.

I mean, I presume you're saying it doesn't make sense because it might not work out (from their pov) but so far, thousands of times, it always has.

Keep in mind that the high ones may not have created the beacon system. It may be something entirely different that forces them to continue the cycle.

Yeah, also that. It seems pretty likely Someone/Something (possibly but IMO not probably including 'random happenstance') created the whole business and the High Ones are either a byproduct or simply part of the system.

What didn't make sense was when Arkt in nehrim suddenly came and was like "I'm shadow god from another dimension, so I came to help you to achieve it in your dimension", like what? Where, why?

You're forgetting that the result of Nehrim was predetermined, it was part of the cycle. Arkt was only filling a role.
