Tharael questline (lots and lots of spoilers)

Is that ♥♥♥♥er even worth saving?

-Was nice to him (even though he probably dont deserve it)
-Betrayed the Father for him
-Talking him out of suicide
-Let him loiter in my house

And he did not even bothered to give me a reward besides "thanks", even though he HIRED me as a merc in the first time. If you betray him- Father will give you a cool mount, if you let him yolo of the cliff- he will give you a key to a chest full of coins and unique skill book. And if you are super duper cool good guy bro-

I just did this quest deciding to be nice to him, just to get that ending (previously every time I played I just said what I thought, but this time I had to be really careful), and yeah... I don't even remember if he gave me the rest of the money he had promised.

Well hell, that's the quest I'm doing right now, and up to this point, it has been one of the better ones I've done.. probably THE best. Doesn't sound like it's going to end well... :-(

I did feel sorry and try to help that guy but in the process he proved to be really "brother wrath", blinded killer to the point of beheading the childhood friend, misguided about the Father's deeds... Experiments yes but on otherwise condemned kids.

Also the Father is a crazy strong foe if siding with the other prick! I didn't get a mount, just the mask and i forget what else... but even still better than nothing, and that other idiot surviving.

When i was fighting Father- he was focused on Tharael all the time, i was able to comfortably spam lightning bolts at him.

Haha indeed such a dead weight that Tharael... I play one hand + shield, used to annoying backpedaling jumpy mages (except in groups of 4, 5...) but i can tell you the Father alone was one of a kind, like pepped on glimmerdust extremely powerful, mobile and thick armored.

I guess for the achievement.
I was kind of wishy washy on him after he got mad at me for not killing the girl, and I had to talk him out of killing someone who basically killed himself because of how bad he was. Then he kills the girl you travel with who is basically just a regular mercenary, kills another member who he meets before the boss AND kills his brother...

This dude is literally a killing machine.

Adversely, father's motive seems very similar to another questline... So I wouldn't call him good or better, but it feels like a daedric thing, where even if you don't help them someone else will. Might as well get a heavy armor version to the enchanted ancient mask and a mount. I'd rather have that than a skill with an awfully long cooldown, and not being able to loot two bodies.

I wonder what kind of false salvation those people have found, as well as why they decided to leave so many of their people behind to do it. And why father is 300+years old...
