SPOILER: Dijaam or Mael?

I'm at the quest where you decide whether or not to tell Dijaam the truth.

At first I kept it a secret in the hope that it wouldn't have repercussions, but she overhears everything a floor below!

I then went back and told her the truth, but she walks right upstairs and rats me out to Mael!

I read ahead for the jist of the story, but still don't know which side to take. They're both horrible.

Are there any consequences taking place after the Scorpion and Lion quest?
