How to get out of strange place

I am in a place called strange place together with someone called Axion. I have reached a place where there are a skull of remorse. After googling about this I found that I should take this skull. That only gets me killed. Also it has been proposed to attack Axion. That does not work even after being killed he soons returns. So what to do ?

you need to walk further to reach the final location
you need to get through a door with a key

there should be plently lets plays and walkthroughs on youtube if you cant find the way

The only way further is through a passage blocked by bars

I gather that by now you've solved this little problem?

With the bars there are two that are a little bit further apart that you can squeeze through.
Or you could use the spell telekinesis to pull the key to you.
Or Throw something at the key .. to move it close enough to reach.
Just a couple of ideas .. hope they help.

These bars all look equidistant to me. I've tried, I can't get through any of them. I don't have the telekinesis spell. What do you mean, throw something? Is there a throw mechanic in this game? I don't have a throwing spell either.

Ok, for any still seeking the answer: there is a chain in the hallway entrance you can interact with to lower the bars.
