I guess people either didn't realize here is a link or can't be bothered to, guess will have to copy and paste description over.
I did, but i didn't care to read because of b) and c).
In general, people are lazy. They don't want to spend 20+ minutes just to figure out what a mod is or what it does. You can use a lengthy decription of why you changed this and that, but don't use it as the only way to descripe changes.
E.g., (if you are the mod creator), add a simple list at the beginning of the description, like
- Overall damage is increased
- Adds a zEdit patcher for custom detailed balance changes
- Adds a stagger effect based on weapon and target weigth
And so on, just to show in short "hey, this is what this mod is about."
In addition, Enderal is just not nearly as popular as Skyrim. Getting 20 unique downloads in Enderal and 600 in Skyrim is probably about the same ratio.
And Enderal is already a heavily modded Skyrim with it's own balance, so people are less likely to touch that. Not to mention that there are other balance mods that were specificly made for Enderal and might be in conflict with that one.
Added a TLDR section right at the top.
Sex sells, but maybe not to every audience, removed the video except those that explain the game play mechanic changes.
If you want sex to sell, it has to fit the audience. More mature players might even think that the characer is ugly.
And well, "sex sells" just doesn't fit the "narrative" of the mod (combat improvements -> a "sexy" character has nothing to do with that).
