I was literally unable to leave the city report or gain a quest before crashing/leaving the city again.
Which equels to unplayable. Thats why I was asking.
Why the new Enderal wasn't made with 64bit in mind is beyond me tbh.
I am using UseOSAllocators=1 (google it)
Mostly those crashes you only get once a playthrough.
Something with memory and the engine remembering it the next time you boot the game or something and then it won't crash again bcus of whatever reason it was that it crashed...
Or so someone told me once.
I don't know the details but yeah... rarely every crashed.
3 people + me all crash at a rate of about once per 5-6 hours.
With a 5 or 10 minute autosave delay and F5 spamming you'll never lose much time.
Edit: I turned on all of the multithreading options and it made the game run a lot better and more stable so you can ignore what I said previously. They might still cause some other unknown issues though I haven't noticed anything so far. I think the ones that affect only graphics might be a bit safer to use but idk.
Edit2: So it has been over 10h now since I turned on all of the multithreading options and I have not had a single crash since. I thought they would only cause issues because they're "experimental" but I haven't really encountered anything out of ordinary. Why is the experimental word even there if they work perfectly and actually improve the performance and stability of the game...
but outer world is pretty stable.
Its more likely to happen when running through multiple zones in quick succession. But since the game autosaves when you zone, you don't lose much. Never had it crash in combat or during story/quest bits.
That stopped the crashing for me too!
