Mana Stopped Regenerating
My mana has regenerated the entire game. It's rather slow, but it always comes back. I'm now escorting Jesper across the map and my mana does not seem to be regenerating at all. I've eaten mana foods and nothing happens. I can drink a mana potion and that will cause mana to regenerate, but just for the potion amount.

Any ideas?

use ambrosia. these penaltys mean your arcance fever % is simply too high. you can view your % in your hero menu on the purple bar. besides the base penalty all others can be removed by keeping this value low. not sure when the first set of extra penaltys show up but i think you need atleast 35% of fever or more for that to happen. 1 ambrosia reduces it by 20%.

fully cureing the fever requires significant mainstory progress. and you will STILL get % increase from health pots and certain spells even after that. its part of the balance to prevent people from just spamming healpots to win.

Did you catch a disease that slows down your mana regeneration?

Also, if you want to play a spellcaster or even just use a lot of spells in addition to your chosen class, consider putting one memory point into the talent "Focus" if you haven't done that already. It speeds up mana regeneration passively by a lot and also gives you an active ability to reduce mana costs by 30% for a short time.

I am leaning towards caster and have trained that skill. I ate 1 of all my ingredients, so maybe I caught something that's preventing mana regen. How do I check? Does it have anything to do with the fever by chance? I haven't figured out the fever thing yet.

check your active effects under magic. the last tab. disaeases are shown in red. higher penaltys from the fewer are also displayed there if you have em.

Thanks for the tips! Turns out I am completely riddled with Arcane Fever. It's impacting stamina, mana, health, everything. Now I have to figure out a way to cure it.

Thanks for the explanation. I had been doing a lot of exploring from the start and built up my fever to over 70%. Drank ambrosia and have now trained the skill to reduce it 15% once per day.

Yeah, Arcane Fever'll kick your ass if you don't keep it in check. It makes playing a healer or alchemist a little tough, at times.
