Too hard game?
Hi
I just start playing Enderal and... First time when I met 3 wolves they kill me so easy. I tried to kill them with a few attemps but can't survive. Is it normal or am I so bad??

You are so bad on the beginning every game is hard you need to adapt

It can be very hard to start.. everyone dies a couple times trying to figure things out. But once you do figure things out...... WOW...

It is just amazing this GAME (yes i call it a stand alone game) totally blows Skyrim out of the water in every way! The characters, the music, the locations, the entire skill system... everything!

Agree its better then skyrim but if it wsnt skyrim enderql would be never there so we have to respect that

The difficulty curve is more like Gothic than Skyrim.

At the beginning of the game you're essentially an ordinary person with no relevant training using salvaged/shoddy gear, and you need to gauge threats accordingly. (Real-world you probably wouldn't fare any better trying to take on three wolves using falling-apart museum pieces!)

This changes as your skills develop and you get access to better stuff, but that won't happen for a while, so exercise due caution and always consider (and use) your environment and possible escape routes if things go south.

You can always turn the difficulty down, and turn it back up later if you find it get too easy.

If you are having a hard time I suggest going with a magic build primarily, spells in this game are very powerful.

It's definitely a different level of difficulty if you're mainly used to Skyrim and other Elder Scrolls games (on the other hand, those who've played the Gothic games will feel right at home). At the beginning you can't expect to just go toe to toe with enemies and come out on top- you'll need to make use of all the tools at your disposal, whether it be different weapon types, the spells and skills you have, consumable items, or making use of terrain for chokepoints and kiting tactics. Even if you have a particular character build in mind, don't lock yourself into playing that style right from the start; rather, use whatever is effective until you can allocation skill and memory points enough to make your preferred style the most effective one. Also, just for a specific tip, at the beginning the channeled fire spell is very effective, especially if you pulse it while kiting enemies and letting the burn effect do most of the damage.

The beginning of the game is very hard. You will need to run away a lot. The first summoning spell was very helpful... you can cast it and stand back.

After you up a few levels it gets a lot easier.

If you aren't a big fan of overly challenging extended combat with lots of HP, (I prefer hardcore combat that requires precision, i.e. one hit kill shooters), then stick with elementalism in Enderal.

I basically used blazing spark through the entire game: it drains your mana real fast even at 100 elementalism, so if you miss once you are dead, but it deals huge damage. Big risk, big reward = fun imo.

If you do go down the elemtentalism route, then keep the difficulty on master/iron or it'll be far too easy.

I'm jealous that you get to experience this game afresh. Walk blessed.

Cheers!

I almost rage quit the game a few times at level 1... I am glad I didn't!

I remember getting beaten up by a crab.... :steamsad:

Try to kite strong enemies with ranged weapons and attacks. Worked out for me.

Play as an Elementalist mage and everything will succumb to your fire and ice within seconds. It's borderline overpowered.

I put the difficulty down because I caught myself cheesing the AI on the main difficulty.
Also I am pretty sure they want you to play as a mage, they shove it down your throat all early game.
