their inventory changes every day/couple of days
Their inventory is randomized like Pedra said. If the other parts are available, your level is high enough, but it's still random. You can go a-hunting to kill time or just sleep for a few days to reset them.
Now, at the end of the game it turns out that Jespar isn't even real. He's just a figment of your imagination. The Prophet is a very mentally ill individual indeed. But considering Daddy, that was fairly obvious.
I could be wrong, it's been a while since I played. He's either not real or a space alien. Can't remember precisely.
