Skyrim Mods compatible?
So since this is basically just a big mod of Skyrim, does that mean I can make old Skyrim characters on this new game? Or no? Sorry for ignorant question. I'm not too informed on how modding is.

yea via nexus if you have skyrim le installed as there is no catergory in nexus mod manager for enderal byt you can get mods through nexus or on steam workshop

This isnt a big mod of skyrim. Its a new game build with the same assets. So very different. Some mods will work but alot wont. You can install Racemenu and create a character but you cant transfer a old skyrim char into enderal.

Thank you for all the help! Guess I gotta re-mod stuff all over again.

So does that mean some mods from Skyrim would carry over? Or... I have to manually go over and import onto this one?

According to all the articles I've read, it says it's a Skyrim mod? Standalone yes, but still a mod using the same engine and everything as Skyrim.

its technically still a mod yes. but it doesnt work like ANY other mod out there does. you cannot run this with a skyrim character or most of skyrims mods. they are made for skyrim. not for enderal. the same engine means little when the core game design is totally different in enderal. for example character progression works differently. races are different and have thier own lore and background.

some mods can be tweaked to make em work but most wont work. i strongly advice not to mod this if its your frist time playing aside maybe graphic boosters as that will potentially ruin the experience of a first playtrough big time.

there is also the super high chance of one of the mods breaking stuff later on or early on depending on mod due to the huge amount of scripts at work during the mainquest.

you also shouldnt install mods like you do for skyrim without any tweaks as that will most likely make the game unplayable or cause crashes.

also they are patching this game big time. sureai has released 2 patches already and more are in the works. each time a patch comes out if you use mods your game will break most likely and youll have to wait for your mods to get updated before you can continue on.

i would strongly safe modding for a 2nd playtrough.

Thank you for all the information! :cinnamon2:

I mostly just want character mods that are purely aesthetic. Nothing that changes the core game.

there is a character model replacer mod on the workshop here that is updated for enderal. you shouldnt use other races tough. this will most likely break all the armor models and meshes and you would have to fix that yourself.

I will stick with the current races thank you for the heads up. I do have a question though: On the ship when you first load up after the dream sequence, is it normal that the tunic you can equip after beating up the ship crew guys, turn your character's body invisible?

what tunic do you mean here? when you wash up at the beach all stuff you could loot on the ship should be removed from you automatically. you cannot keep any stuff from the ship on you normally. so there is no point in looting anything till you wake up at the beach.

Well I didn't know that, but when I tried equiping their clothes it made my person's body invisible.

dont bother looting them. play till you wake up at the beach and are tasked to find a way to the inland. thats when the game actually begins. the ship part is pure character creation.

these clothes are not supposed to be worn by the player thus they dont show up. i think that you can loot these guys is a small bug currently.

Alright. I thought that might actually be the case, but I didn't know for sure. Again thank you for the help!
