Dont forget about wards. You can cast it, switch to a strong ward, and run out with your shield up.
...I assume, I haven't gotten high enough skill to use Blizzard yet.
It's not a matter of function, at least. I'm assuming it works the way the devs want it to.
Very true, however would it not make sense to then have each of the other mythical spells (at least the elemental ones) such as Thunderclap or Cannonade also have the double-edged sword aspect? Just a thought and thank you for your suggestion on that matter!
I totally agree, that all three elemental Mystic Spells should be double-edged or just awesome. One or the other.
However the devs do often encourage and reward skill synergy so maybe thinking around the problem and how to take advantage of Blizzard is a good option? Say, like... a sneaky type with silent casting walks into a roomful of badguys, sets off Blizzard, wards up and runs to the edge of the storm.
