Using Nexus Mod manager?
I know it is outdated but it is the only mod manager I know how to use.

Any tips?

its just as simple as for any game.

the only requirement is to not have it in use for original skyrim [sse doesnt matter]

now just refresh the search for installed games in nmm

then select the installfolder for skyrim manually and redirect it to steam/steamapps/common/enderal
you will get a warning if you wanna really do this, cause there is no skyrim.exe in this folder.
just klick ok

nmm will then install all skyrim mods into the enderal folder.
since all enderalmods are listed in the skyrimsection anyway this is the easiest way to do.

ive installed a mod including a fomodinstaller and it worked fine.

you can download some mods from steamworkshop as well.

the existing mods for enderal are not that big or complex for nmm not be able to handle them.

This is just a theory, haven't tried it myself.

But if you don't have a active vanilla Skyrim playthrough. On the game select section in the manager where you pick the file paths you could set up Skyrim to direct to the Enderal folder.

Can't guarantee everything will install 100% correctly though. Might be some variations in file paths and stuff.

I know being told to use other mod managers is probably the last thing you want to hear but... Mod Manager 2 is worth it for three reasons.
1) SureAI's and MO2's mods have been keeping in contact with each other and because of this MO2 received a special plugin to handle Enderal that other mod manangers don't have.
2) It's fairly simple to use and much better than NMM in the sense you can safely install and uninstall mods without wreacking havoc on your installation.
3) Since this is the most popular mod manager for Bethesda games and it is still getting updates, you will have an easier time finding someone to help you troubleshoot problems or giving you directions on how to use it. There are several guides online as well, including some by Gopher.

Yes, this worked for me.

I just reallocated Skyrim installation to enderal installation folder on nexus mod manager.

The reason I'm using nmm it that I am not a hardcore moder I just use a few mods like enhaced camera, footprints and quick loot, and I don't have time to learn new clients like vortex or mod manager 2.

Thanks for your help!

You can learn how to use MO2 in 20 minutes, one video in particular explains all you need to know in 10 mins total. Instead, you chose to waste 2-3 hours of your "limited free time" waiting for someone else to tell you how to use NMM...

Can someone explain how to make NMM find this game? It goes through the scan for a minute or two, and doesn't find Enderal. Obviously I am playing it, and this never happened with FO4 or Skyrim. Whatever stupid setting needs to be changed, I can't seem to find.

Force Nexus to find the enderal root instead of skyrim, it will show an error but ignore it, just press ok
