But I think it's not worth it, because you can buy bow with similar stats from Sun temple smith very cheaply, so it's a bit a balancing issue.
The location of it is the shipwreck that you visit during the quest Our Mark in this world, to get the quest visit the tavern at Frostcliff.
the weapons are not well balanced currently tough.
I just told him to use the quest as a guide since its the first objective anyways and theres no "location marker" there so its kinda vague saying Northwest of Enderal near the small islands.
But I had a slew of rings and amulets and sure enough there was a handcrafting amulet of 12 just waiting for me to wear. I put on the amulet, added three crafting points and voila, the bone bow blue print was available. The bone bow was 93. Better than my snake bow 79, but a three digit hurtem bow was what I was after. So I put some more points in crafting redid the bow and it bumped up to 97. Close. But I didn't want to use up all my crafting points at this stage of the game.
But then it occurred to me, I was still wearing the handcrafting amulet. I swapped out that amulet for my bow amulet and I was either at 107 or 113. It was late and I was tired, and eyes blurry. But I was well over 100, and that did not even include me upgrading the bone bow.Or adding some enchanting damage.
In any event, thanx for pointing out the bone bow. I would have never looked over my blueprints thinking that this was better than a snake bow. And I am also glad I never sold that unique item I earned a while back.
Although the Bone Bow is probably the highest (non-enchanted) damage bow out there, you can one-shot enemies with pretty much any bow if it's improved enough and your skill level is high enough (Marksman/Archery skill modifiers, enchantments etc, are a really *big* help).

If you want to do really beastly ranged damage, a Legendary quality bow and a high skill modifier is the only way to go.

And don't forget to apply those memory points to all the bow-related perks on the 'Trickster' tree. ;)
Yes. Once you get your Handicraft skill above 164, it becomes possible to achieve Legendary quality gear.
It's not *strictly* necessary to have a Legendary bow to kick bad guy butt, but it does help! XD
