lol I tho rat catcher was only from 1-10

How did you survive until 20

youre lvl 20. time for endgame stuff. skaragg set is highest heavy and doesnt require crafting. fallen set is next lower tier. both have basically same bonuses. skaragg is just flat out better.

you can get all pieces without combat if you know where to look for em.

check below for easy chestpiece. DO NOT BUTTON MASH if your gear sucks or the enemys are too strong make a run for it. details below in spoiiler. use at own risk.

fly to dunheim? (the tower in the desert to the far far southeast of the map) from the walk west or swim accross the costline till you see a waterfall which should also have a house/shack like marker on the map when you look north towards the waterfall. you cannot reach it from that side. you have to come from above trough the desert there is a bunch of undead and 2 boneslashers there but you can avoid fighting them if you run. inside the deserted house (its not a dungeon you stay outside) lies the skaragg chestpiece free to pick up. just outran the boneslahers. congrats. you wont find a better chestarmor for a LONG LONG time

all other skaragg chestpieces are guarded by very strong lategame bosses as they wear them or carry them inside thier inventory.
Ty. Found 2d set. its called selna. Scattered across whisperwood. Dunno how i survived on master. Hit and run + rocksolid i guess. Also grabbed that skarag ty. As far as i know in dlc they added a few new sets, so maybe skarag is not the best though)

skaragg is still very close to the best. there is only 1 new heavy set for melee characters and armor wise its not any better than skaragg and might be even slithly worse it looks awesome tough fully unique mesh. i dont know if its better overall dmg wise as i only got 2 pieces of the blueprints so far. it depends solely on what bonuses the gloves and boots of that new set have and what other 2 setbonuses it has. i NEEDS 7 points melee dmg on one of these atleast. otherwise skragg WILL come out ahead for melees. the 2 piece bonus is better than skaragg but so far its missing the 10% magic resist from skaragg. will see if they show up. currently skragg is still the best from what i know.

i could check it out with console but dont wanna ruin my motivation to explore doing that so i refuse ^^
there is 1 new backpack definitly that wasnt there before. and its not the arkanists backpack. thats old. it has the highest handicraft requirement i have seen. 90. no clue where to find it yet tough. no spoilers allowed ! if you find something and post a location put in into a spoiler tag.

selnas is an old set. its a medium level set. it has something special going for it tough.... but i dont want to spoil that for you.

Can you give a hint in which region you found blueprint of new heavy armor set? )) im just curious to see how it looks. I just downloaded set replacer mod because default enderal sets all look really bad, but its the only personal minus that i found through 80 hours played )) hope sure ai will become commercial studio.

the new sets look really cool tbh. all completly new meshes.

you can check thier look out with the console to avoid location spoilers. just type help skybreaker and add yourself the chestpiece via its ID. gives you can idea how the whole thing looks like. it has a pretty big paladin vibe to it i would say while and goldisch. oh and the chestpiece has a cloak on it aswell.

while the inodan set (heavy mage) is simply the stormlord armor from the nexus.

the wandermage set (old set) also has fully new meshes now. it looks pretty dope especilly the gloves and chest. its mesh was awful on original mod.

the new crafted weapons also have new meshes.

have to agree the lack of new meshes is enderals biggest weakness on items. nehrim was way better there for some reason. but there is also some unique meshes that i havent even seen on the nexus like deathstorm.
Oh its skybreaker. Well i think with armor replacer mod its still looks better. Best looking armor after skarag imho. Its actually have better stats than skarag also but i wont spoil it for ya). In default game skarag amor with backpack you look like a hobo so armor replacer mod is a must )

eh. i am not a fan of the mesh replacer. some look clearly better but others are worse. i am not too found of skaragg either but the model replacer mod one looks just as bad to me. meshes are a personal taste afterall.

dont like the "breton paladin mesh" either for skybreaker. disliked that model in skyrim already.

oh well. to each his own.

wandermage imo looks better in vanilla for example i find.

How good is armor really? So far I found that the only reliable tactic is to not get hit in the first place. High health will then allow you to take an arrow here and there but any boss or miniboss level enemy will most likely kill you in one or two hits. Even if they don't many attacks will stagger you even through block and that's a death sentence when there's several enemies around you.

So did anyone try armor at high level with all the relevant memories unlocked? How tanky is it?
Nerevar Feb 22, 2019 @ 9:47am
depends purely on difficulty you play on. high level armor is definitly a big difference. especialyl when combined with lvl 4+ divine shield spell (only requires basic mana to cast) as that spell lasts 5+ MINUTES and boosts your armor easyl by 50% on top of the heavy armor you wear if you get the perk that is super early in the central perk tree with boosts this spell by 35% for just 1 mermory point. the skill itself is not worth it the learning points imo. handicraft bonus+base armor set heavy highend + divne shield = anything that isnt a lord or lady of the lost ones can be meleed unless youre pretty much playing on max difficulty. on that mode i would play archer and avoid melee combat alltogether.

Thank you Sam, I have it now - and I do have that page bookmarked already, it's just that the only location it gave for this particular cuirass was 'Abandoned House' - and the hyperlink led to a page that had no info about where the house was or how to get to it. (It was pretty much just a blank page.)
