ok What is this key to the forgotten temple for?

my first time playing enderal: Forgotten stories, I found a key to the forgotten temple in the abandond temple at the beginning of the game and this was not in the original enderal so what is this key for?

for the door that leads to said temple. its found once you get to the outside again and have to collect something to eat. look for a door to a ruin inside the starting canyon where the 3 dwarven ballistas are. its not marked on the map.

small hint : when you stand in front of the door check carefully to your left :P
