is there a way to disenchant a item without loseing it?
l have some cool items with great enchantments, but one of them ls a piece of clothing (ie 0 armour) and l want to put its enchantment on a armour piece, but i dont want to lose the item. is this possable? l know it could be done in skyrim, but l dont know if it was removed for this.

Only with a mod.

There's no way to not lose an item when you use it to learn it's enchantment.

However there are lots of similar enchantments on other items, that you can learn when you'll only destroy them. Or if your feeling like cheating, use console to get a copy and disenchant the copy.

It might help to know which item you wanted to disenchant as there might be a way to get another one, since disenchanting always destroys the original item.

No. Enchanting is powerful enough already. In fact, it was nerfed with one of the more recent patches because of that.

that sucks, l get adding a option to disable this for those hard core overpower haters, but the thing should have simply been a "do you want skyrim like enchaning Y/N" in the MCM,not have all player choice removed. oh well, that's what mods are for (welp l am off to nexus)

Technically, it works just like in Skyrim, but the "twin souls" perk was part of the skill system that didn't make it to Enderal, and i don't think cheat enablers should be in the MCM. And you can still become very overpowered in Enderal, even after the nerfs.
