Deus Ex Machina HELP

I've arrived just before Old Dothulgrad with Calia. I've killed the bear and the wolves, but when I get close to entering, she stops following me and will only return when I stand next to her. There's 1 entrance into the ruin, and she won't follow me through it, so how tf am I supposed to complete the quest?

The followers have a pathing system such that they seem to stop if "they" think your going the wrong way.
Have you tried entering the gate you think your supposed to go into?
Or have you found another way in?

All I know is when they stop following, your probably a little off the path .. they should catch up if you just enter a gate though.

I managed to fix it somehow. The whole pathing system in this game is ridiculous. They should just follow you everywhere. There was literally only 1 entrance to the ruin and I was going through it, and she just refused to follow. I ended up using a console command to force the next stage of the quest to occur.

I can understand why they introduced that limitation but don't agree with how they went about it. These followers do only have a very narrow path to follow to one destination which is a real pity. Especially as they expect you to already have a phantasm follower which I've never used.

I have used a setstage to advance a quest that got repeatedly stuck in the same place as well ... it should be a last resort though, as various settings may not get set correctly and have that effect compound during your game.
