Anyway to set a custom FPS limit?
I can run the game fine at over 100fps, but when it reaches 144, the engine just straight up breaks, and items fly around everywhere and I can hear buzzing water wherever I am. Is there some way to set an FPS limit of 90 or so?

Thanks.

The game should have a 60 fps limit to prevent issues like that. Did you unlock the FPS somehow in the first place?

I unlocked it so that everything would play smoother. I've got a 144hz monitor so having everything at 60 felt horrible, especially in the menus. I just want a cap of 100 or something like that.

Well, even at 100 fps, the game can or will still break, even if you don't notice at first. I wouldn't recommend using anything higher than 60fps. But you can set a custom fps cap in the ENBoost ini file if you want to try. Just be aware that the game was locked/capped at 60 fps for a reason.

In my experience, when the FPS is around 100, give or take 10, it runs perfectly fine. Where can I find the ENBoost ini?

The file is actually called enblocal.ini

It's about 40 lines down into the file, give or take 10...

Look for a section that looks like this:
[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=false
EnableFPSLimit=true
FPSLimit=59.0

In the launcher I can only find the Enderal.ini and EnderalPrefs.ini I can't see an ENBoost ini anywhere?

It's in the folder of the game itself. The file is named enblocal.ini.

You have to manually search for it; I've not used the launcher to edit any of the files, sorry. And you must have seen my post in the 5 seconds before I edited it. The file name is different.

Look for enblocal.ini instead.

I managed to find it and I set a custom limit to 100fps, but when I launched the game it was going above it?

Weird.. what are you using to check your framerates? I remember seeing a problem posted in several places that only certain ones showed proper fps numbers, the rest were "off". I'm using the built-in one in the Steam overlay.

Also, are you launching the game through the Enderal Launcher itself? Not going through it bypasses the .ini files... or it can? Don't remember the specifics. I always use it, so I haven't experimented NOT using it.

I use the overlay that comes with Geforce Experience. And yes, I'm launching it through Steam and then through the launcher that comes up.

Try using the overlay one in Steam then, see if it gives different results. There is one supposedly included in the enb or in Enderal, but I never could get it to work..

I'll try. Thanks for the help.

You have to realise the game is designed to play at 60 fps you can break or bork a lot in game by going above that. Mos of us have liited our monitors to play to skyrims limitations.

You don't want to run this engine above 60 fps.

You can also use your gpu control panel to force vsync onto it.
