The "dlc"
So i am 55+ hours in and on my main library page i have also downloaded...

Enderal - Forgotten Stories OST
Enderal - Novel: Dreams of the Dying
Enderal - Original Soundtrack
Enderal - Original Soundtrack: The Bards

What is not happening, is they are not installing... nothing i do helps and i would really like to read the Novel and get the soundtracks into my music library.. so any idea's why they dont install?

Did you try double-clickinng them? (They've got to be manually installed, I just forget how I did it.)

Double clicking them does nothing..

Right-click Enderal and choose properties, then check the DLC tab all the way on the right.

(EDIT: There should be 'install' check boxes there.)

Not sure..

You can download the novel directly though, link in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/933480/discussions/0/1777136225039572679/

If you downloaded it correctly, you should find it all in your computer's Enderal\DLC folder.

On my Windows 10 machine it's:

C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Enderal\DLC

There's no 'direct access' to the DLC content from Enderal or its launcher (that I'm aware of).

How about the "DLC" button in the launcher that opens said directory?

I wasn't aware of it?

only the one linked to in that thread I mentioned. It's not the "DLC" per se, but it is the same novel, "Dreams of the Dying" so it's an alternate way of accessing (part of) the same thing.

I've got it: Audiobooks in English and German, and .pdf copies in English, German, Spanish, and Russian - they're all in DLC sub-folders.

(And thanks, stuemper. I really am that dumb sometimes. =P)

I was just saying if he didn't care how he got the book, at least there was an additional way to get it.

I understand. ;)

I'm definitely into the audiobook version though, because I have poor eyesight: my peepers ain't what they used to be! <( >< . >< )>

And the best part is, the English version is read by Ben Britton, who does Jespar's voice. (He rocks! :steamhappy:)

I am at a loss here.. Even a full system scan only show core game files..

All 4 of the dlc say not installed, but they were aquired on 12-31-1969?....

The reason there's no DLC folder (and the reason the DLC button on the launcher directs you to the DLC store page) is because the DLC content has (apparently) not been downloaded to your computer (or it was downloaded, but not to the correct directory - I'm betting it's not there at all).

Go to your Steam Library's Enderal page and look at the 'DLC' section: if you have it, it should say 'installed' next to each one that you have (there's a total of four different DLC items). There should also be a checked box and 'date acquired' next to each entry. (Mine says "Date Added: 12/31/1969" for some oddball reason.)

If the DLC *is* downloaded according to your Enderal Steam Library page, then I'd suggest maybe looking elsewhere for that DLC folder (like maybe in your Skyrim directory, if you have one). I don't know what else to suggest in this case.

If it's *not* there, click "Find More DLC in Store" (directly beneath the DLC section) and go try downloading each of them individually (or just the ones you want).

@MikeBob2013

All 4 do show up on my games library page. All for say uninstalled.. with that funky date. Not in skyrim folders, and i have done a full system search... no where to be found.

When i went back to DL them again individually, it opens up the games launcher.... even from there if i click the DLC it just directs me back to the games store DLC page.

When you return to the Store DLC page, is there a (blue) "In Library" label visible on the DLC entries there?

Yes they all say In Library.

That's really weird. When I click the DLC button on the launcher (which I swear I never remember seeing before tonight), it opens the DLC folder on my hard drive and displays the four sub-folders within. It should be doing the very same thing for you too.

This looks like one for the bugtracker, maybe: (unless it's strictly a Steam issue?)
