Checkpoint Load Failure

I've gotten to the section where Wenjia learns the double jump, but the checkpoints in that area don't seem to be working properly for me. The checkpoint loads but Wenjia disappears (falls through the ground?) and quickly dies leading to a loop of the checkpoint loading over and over again. Apart from that the game is working fine for me.
