AOE3 was colony age meaning. mexicans never meet aztec..
same with the american addon...
you could add aegypt, atlantis and an alien mars country and 1940 germans reich too -.-
by the time skip i think it would needed a VI time age
maybe aegyptians build then glas pyramides <3 with sun collectors
I was going to say that you could already rebel into mexico and the us XD.
I agree that they should have added like... Venice/Genoa/Pisa (or any Italian power), Norway, Denmark, Austria (instead of "Germany"), Prussia (instead of "Germany"), or even some other non-colonial powers like Hungary, Bohemia, Iran (Persia), Greece, etc. instead of the USA and the UMS.
I even wish that they added more playable first-nations like the Cree people, Ojibwe people, Cherokee people, Mi'kmaq people, Inuit people, etc. Especially considering their new agenda to make the game more "PC".
They do it to make people buy the DLC for competitive modes, then nerf them a few weeks later. Every company does this now XD
However, what I stated was a generalization. I'm not saying AoE 3 is doing a good job balancing. I'm saying it makes sense for developers in general to release strong civs, characters, classes, or whatever it may be, and then balance after the feedback. I'm not saying they're doing a good job doing that (I'm not the expert for that call by any means).
Also it's clear Interjection absolutely ignored what was talked in this video but that's besides the point, also prob giving him too much credit/responsability.
Microsoft has multiple cash cows in their herd, so why not? AoE II and III DLC are profitable for them so they might as well.
Besides, IV and III have different development teams entirely. Only the publisher is the same. There are many players loyal to II or III that won't make the switch to IV, switch back and forth, or will only dabble in IV while playing their favorite. And there are players that want to play them all.
So it makes sense for MS to keep publishing content. They know many of the players want more AoE, and not just in IV.
Denmark? Italy? Kourland?
