[solved] Settings won't properly save

Each time I boot up the game it resets all the options i have previously configured.
I have to redo all the hotkeys, the video settings, the UI, sound, everything. the only setting it remembers are my self build decks. This is super ennoying and just really doesn't want me to boot up the game at all.
version: 100.12.1529.0

Anyone else have this issue and maybe knows a fix?

Solution is to have a username without any "weird" signs, i used to have a & in my name and this apperantly bugged the profile loader, so changing my steam name fixed that. Next time devs have an error message when a profile won't properly load ;)

I've been looking into it further, and it looks like aoe3de won't load my profile but is instead continiously loading the default profile. I've already tried a full reinstall but that doesn't change a thing. I've been able to change the sound and resulotion option in the default settings by editing this file Steam\steamapps\common\AoE3DE\Startup.
This however doesn't work for fullschreen, it keeps bugging out and also doesn't allow me to edit the keybindings and i can't see to find the file where those are stored.
An extra bug i keep noticing is when i boot the game up again it always gives me the note about the change made to be more correct and the option to choose which UI i would like.

Would really like some help with this, it honestly wants me to ask for a refund until it's fixed.

Even further development. It's definitly not a local issue based on installation, i started the game up on same pc but with different steam account and had no issue at all. SO it has to be a problem with profiles. Now i don't know anyway around it though.
so any ideas on how to solve this?

I have same problem, my profile reset everytime i enter the game.

Its still a bug, because i need to change my nickname to fix that. That is bad
