AoE3 DE - No sound

Hi.

I've been playing Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition for the past couple of months without problem. I played it two days ago without any issue also, but when I launched it yesterday, the sound was gone... And I mean all of it. I had no music or sound FX in game coming out of my speakers (standard issue PC speakers that I had for decades). However, if I plug my headset in, I do have sound coming out of my headset. But as soon as I unplug it, the game become silent again.

Also, I have sound in every other program I use, proving that neighter my sound card nor my speakers are broken.

I tried updating Windows, but it didn't help. Here are my specs :

HP Pavilion Power Desktop
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core Processor, 3.20 GHz
RAM - 8,00 Go
OS - Windows 10 (64 bits) - version 22H2
Graphic Card - GeForce GTX 1050
Sound Card - Whatever was build-in when I bought my PC... My system says : "Realtek High Definition Audio".

Please help... As I only use my headset for multiplayer games. I love the freedom of speakers.

i had this problem for months and just accidently fixed it after seeing your post. open the sound settings while the game is running and increase the volume for the aoe3 app. you can use alt tab or the windows key to get to the settings.
