They now use Caravela instead of Galley (if I'm not mistaken), which is strange, it doesn't seem to make much sense historically. Isn't that exactly why they lost the Battle of Diu for example?

Maybe only bombarding them from such a range it is not even a contest, but Ports are not there yet.

I guess Azaps get countered by traditional bow units. Too bad the Xbows are low-tier bow units with shorter range (thanks to crossbows instead of traditional bows) so they don't do well enough against them.
