Deck cards not saving
I think I might found a bug after the recent update...

I was playing the Chinese Campaign and after the first level I chose my new cards and added them to ' My Deck', I even made a copy and changed one item in it to be sure.

But when the second level started neither of the decks contained the cards I chose like I never selected any new cards and 'YES' I added them to my deck and made a few more to be sure.

I know what you mean, kinda odd that when you select your cards for a nation you want to play with via Skirmish or Multiplayer that you actually still have the old UI, so it is still there but it seems they ' revamped ' the card selection system for Campaign mode.

cant change cards, its not saving any changes, somtimes i got a not enough memory error too but i have heaps. my friend got the same errors at the same time too when we were playing eachother

Yeah, um, what the hell is this? I can't change cards on any deck! In campaign mode, in multiplayer, or just at the main menu! NO saving ANY changes OR new decks!! WHAT THE HELL. NOTHING about this on the web AT ALL hardly! Is there ANY solution!? or am I just gonna have to use what the game gives me OR re-install. Has ANYONE here had ANY luck getting past this or things like it? Is it a bug? Do I need to update it? I JUST INSTALLED IT TODAY.

This and another "reset to default every startup" problem is haunting me since October. Try to send a support ticket too. I will keep telling them about the horrible state of this game is for some people until they fix it.

Well THANK YOU! HOLY LIVING CRAP. There is literally NOTHING I have been able to find about this issue OTHER THAN THIS: ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET! I am VERY, No, ROYALLY ticked off! No help from aoe3 de site that I could find. Do they have a location you could go to? Maybe you have to walk in and ask the question to the secretary and see if anyone is available to help you: BECAUSE I HAVE'NT BEEN ABLE TO GET ANY HELP FOR THIS ATTT ALL!! VERY ROYALLY TICKED OFF!

There was one guy with a smart theory: Apparently, some special characters on your name might be related to this bug where the game is unable to save anything. As an example, my name contains "&" here on Steam, and somehow the game messes up when trying to save a profile containing this character. As a result, I got a perma reset.

I must add that I have another personal theory that even your XboX name might be a source that will mess your profile saving. This is a red flag for me about the company. I believe that they are not following the best practices for programming.

I am happy that my US challenge isn't being reset anymore but I am very pissed as well.

Try to flood then with support tickets, this is what is left for me. I have this bug since day ONE of Beta, as absurd it sounds.

The support address/link is on the update news I think. Apart from that, this game is simply locked for me until I solve this issue.

Hi, do anyone know if there is / was a solution to this? I cannot save any new decks on the Countries I am playing as - Dutch, German etc. I can edit and "save" it, but upon revisit thereof, it was not saved - only the default deck are available in-game. I am playing on Linux Mint 20.3, 64 Bit, Kernel 5.4.0-99

Hi, unfortunately the only supported operating system is Windows. This is a common issue when attempting to run the game on Linux.

Ok, just some feedback regarding this - I found another post which actually "resolves" this issue. The resolution is to change the compatibility to proton

I change it to 4.11.13 and I am now able to save the new deck. HOWEVER - this effectively breaks multiplayer as this version is not any longer compatible with the latest general release version. If someone have a solution for this, I would be grateful.
