im looking for some kind of build (cards)
Age 1 split ur vills 5 food 1 wood, build 1 house and queue all vills to food, call in 3 vill shipment, age up with 400 wood, change 3-4 vills from food to wood, and build barrack as soon as possible. Build market and get gangsaw upgrade.
Call in dutch banks cost less shipment as soon as u hit 2, and then build 2 banks and start queuing skirms, keep building banks, Call in 700 wood crates and then build the rest of your banks while queing more skirms.
Use the skirms to scout ahead and just pick off inf units while kiting back. This tilts the ♥♥♥♥ out of them, use ur envoy as scouting tool aswell. The tight formation in ur base should make defending it easier as well.
After that cards should be church improvements (to get more banks), inf train faster, inf upgrades, cav upgrades, and medecine. The rest is up to you. This should get you going and ive been dominating ranked with this strat, rushers get so mad when u kite their units.

there is other civs is great at defense, native civs for example, every barrack is a tower in fact but these civ getting less advantage in late game compare to european civs. russian defensive playstyle is kinda strange coz they're good at rushing with strelet or villager hunt which destroy opponent economy but getting weak in late game coz their unit mostly come with lower hp compare to others. China in the other hand, maybe seems weak but not really, with 10% cheaper cost and 20 extra population, that does make different in late game coz thing only strucked if you play the cheesy way, hand mortars seems kinda lame but still very effective for siege with that range, and its also an anti-artillery, low cost and 1 pop artillery with mortar range, what do you expect, build 20 of them still doesnt feel burden while you can siege enemy with wide angle, buy woods from market for just in case coz its demn cheap at late game
