You know like, for guerilla tactics; charging in like the Light Brigade, going bananas on a building, then the minute it falls get the hell out of Dodge.

Which would be the very best civ for this and why please ?

No doubt for me: the Lakota.

They obviously have more than enought cavalry options, but thanks to the fire ceremony (the one that increase damage against buildings), a medium size army can destroy things like factories in one attack.

Russia. You probably want Oprichniks. Cossacks are very pop efficient as well.

Most likely lakota as already stated. Russia is a contender but the mechanics are in favor of lakota. Russians have anti building cav but they suck for everthing else but anti villager. Lakota can make any cav into anti building with a dance at the community plaza. Both civs favor heavy rush. Hope you enjoy what you end up trying. One thing to remember is that the purpose of cav in general is to outmaneuver everything else and only take favorable fights. This means cav as a unit is guerilla by nature. GLHF.

Lakota is the best cav civ.
Sweden has the tankiest hussars
France has the best melee cav (gendarms)
British also has Royal guard upgrade huss with good cards

The Lakota, primarily because they have Rifle Riders and Tashunke Prowlers. Both units serve niches that cavalry for other civs can't, with rifle riders counting heavy infantry and tashunke prowlers being able to go invisible. They also have the bow rider, which is the only age 2 ranged cavalry available outside of the Chinese Keshik and Indian Zamburak, which are far weaker than normal ranged cavalry. The Lakota also have their War Chief, whose ability to speed up all nearby troops works fantastically with cavalry. Finally, they also have a number of strong cavalry upgrades available from their home city and their building big buttons.
