They still die to artillery just fine (being infantry), just not as easily. I just wouldn't have a mass formation of infantry if I'm against them. Try to use cavalry and cannons to save the day
Thing is this tho, the grenadiers are not alone, and they are OP as heck, hard to die, and seemingly when they attack with infantry and grenadiers alone, they cant destroy an army twice the size for some reason, i dont think this is logical.
From their stat block, they suffer a 70% damage reduction against cavalry and shock infantry (skirmisher line), thought they have 40% resistance to ranged attacks.
Also, I'll note that they use 2 pop and cost nearly as much as a hussar.
Their normal attack do not have any bonus outside of their splash effect, and in melee, they are abyssal. I cant imagine any scenario where heavy cav would lose that kind of fight...
Lmao those dudes should carry swords and wear armor, coz they are just wearing cloth and throwing explosive bricks and yet they are strong in melee.
