Viking Era Question...
Can this game be played in the ancient Viking era timeline by any chance actually?

I don't think the Vikings would fit into AoE 3's time period...
Makes more sense to add Norwegians and Danish, the Swedes were part of the Vikings, and they're being officially added now.

The game's starting period would be roughly in the 1600s when European nations first came to the New World.

This games time period is roughly 1492-1890 roughly. Being the start of the exploration of the Americas to the Victorian era. So no Vikings make no sense. Play aoe2 that's where the viking are.

The precise starting period of AoE3 is about 1650, the Viking era officially ends in 1066.
I think it's going to be a little difficult to play or see Vikings

Spanish colonization/expansion/exploration on the new world starts it all which is 1492/1493

That is like the 15th century.

19th Century most identifiable events are Napoleonic war, Meiji Restoration, and Boxer Rebellion(which starts at the end of the century and ended at the start of the 20th century)

Dude.... vikings last attempt to deal with brits was at 1066 AC... absolute no chance that they remained till 1500(-1860). Also its not AoE2:DE 2.0, you gonna deal with it.

The descendants of vikings are in the game. They just don't appear in the same capacity as they did several hundred years prior.

Vikings are boring, go play AoE 2 or Bannerlord if you don't like gunpowder.
