Godislolicon has Revenge of the Titans

I can not open the game [SOLVED]

I just buy the Revenge of the Titans. When I open the game, it said "You need to launch Revenge of the Titans through Steam, or have Steam running and logged in to your account".
What should I do?

You should tell us what OS you've got, and then probably, reboot your computer.

Same here, got Windows 7. Game crashes directly after starting up.. (after the Updater)

Let us know your external IP addresses and we can search for logs.

Ok, we've got no logs from you at all, which explains half of the problem - it looks like you are unable to connect to us. Assuming you're not behind a firewall or proxy server that prevents you accessing us, we'll have some local logs that might tell us why it's not working.

If you could dig up the local logs they're in %temp% and named something like puppygames-log-????? - sort by modified date in Explorer and grab the latest ones and send them to me at cprince at puppygames dot net.

If I can tack on a question similar to the original poster, every time I try to start the game, I get a message saying that I closed the game improperly the last time, and then the game itself crashes (hence, the "closed the game improperly" each time). Could this be the same thing? A graphics driver crash? How can I fix this?

Yes, that's the driver crashing the game. The only way to fix it is get drivers that don't crash, which is usually, the latest and greatest available. Some vendors (notable Intel DIE DIE DIE) are notoriously bad at supplying drivers that actually work; some older ATI/AMD chipsets are also left unsupported or buggy. Laptops are a particular hassle because support is almost instantly dropped.
