Mysterious Dimension level range / skin diving planning(what weapons to use)
What kind of weapon level can I expect to get to in the mysterious dimeonsion? This is important for resetting purposes. I just did a blind run that ended at the 10th floor due to really REALLY bad weapon spawns. The best I could get was a cursed +0 hula hoop (that's actually a good drop due to the pink EXP seal). If I knew what levels a D scaling weapon can reach, it should be easier to determine what weapons to keep. I'm having my eyes on Roukanken and Miko's Shaku for now (former due to nice base dmg and latter is kinda obvious). Since I didn't rob Mamizou just yet, Stupa would be working as well I guess.

Sagume's drain is dangerous but only activates on kill, so you have some control over it. The range attack doesn't do a huge amount of damage, and isn't as bad as Tenshi or Kasen. And the mines can usually just be walked around... she has a lot going on, but there are so many other crazy enemies that push her down on the threat list.
True. Btw Seiran and Ringo are crazy dangerous if they happen to be in a room with Kogasa. Tbh Kogasa is probably the most dangerous character as weird as that may sound. Most of the time, unexpected things happen due to her and she is the one that is responsible for most failed runs for me.

Sorry for a bit of necroposting, i haven't been on the forums for a while but have quite a lot of experience with Mysterious Dimension and wanted to talk about it for a while. I even considered writing a guide on it after beating the thing but tossed that idea away after finding out that Luna Labyrinth exists (not sure why it does, maybe developers designed it with savescumming in mind, and that's just against the spirit of roguelikes).

Weapons. The dungeon actually does drop some pretty good equipment which you're bound to find if you stick around for long enough. Think about Sokanto Sword/Sword of Hisou/Miko's Shaku (Japanese wiki also suggests Red Feather and Feather Duster Thingy, the latter is hella rare) for weapons and Sirius Momiji/Peach/Crystallized Silver (can't recall if Mokou's Ribbon and Parasol drop there) for armour. I'm a huge fan of the Sokanto Sword as it not only deals good damage but also has (gets after evolving) just that little bit of Vanquish Heal to keep you afloat. It's not much but definitely helps you not get overwhelmed by enemies while you're spending forever to rest up.
Healing's very hard to come by in this dungeon otherwise as Feather Duster Thingy seems to be very rare/non-existent and Miracle★Moses Fruit Sake is not just rare but you'd probably drink the first one you find just to ID it. Apparently, Herbal Medicine has the 3% Vanquish Heal on it just like Sokanto Sword and you can get it by combining two Dokudami Teas with green-haired kappa or Compound Gap. Maybe that was the way all along.
As a side note, a good two-hander like the Log or Lawn Mowing Scythe could be able to win too but those are quite a bit worse here than in a regular well since you don't get to slap a curing seal on them.
Also, while all of your gear is trash, dual-wielding is way better than weapon + shield as you deal a lot more damage, often one-shotting enemies and taking 0 damage in return. That's the way you can last until you find a decent weapon+shield combination.

Identifying charms. Okay, this one is tricky. If you're not savescumming, even putting on an unknown charm is potentially lethal as it could be a cursed Ayakashi Branch and kill you. Obviously, you can use Seal-Sucker/Glutton Gaps and the blonde kappa to see which seal the charm had but there are at least two more ways to gain information here.
If you keep a seal in your inventory, you can see which charms have a free slot on them by seeing your options for using the seal. Charms with no seals or with a free slot are safe to wear except for Linchpin of Bonds that puts Power Seal on you but breaks after you move floors anyway. After putting them on, you can ID them just by looking at your attack/defence/HP/EXP save for the Fairy's Cup/Carrot of Happiness couple which are very similar anyway.
Also, you can use shops and buy/sell values in this spredsheet[docs.google.com] to gain some info on your charm. Incidentally, this is useful for identifying gaps, cards and potions (for example, all 8000 gold potions are very good and Miracle★Moses Fruit Sake is the only 7500 gold one).
Of course, all of this is a little too tedious to do but oh well.

Sagume. There was also a mention of Sagume's broken ability. It took me a while to realise that the counterplay to it is the same as the one for Patchouli's explosion: if she's in melee range, you gotta walk away until she decides to spend a turn not following you, then you shoot her down. If you're playing Ayaya, you can even knock her back with your final danmaku.

At last, i have some footage of me diving through the final floors of this dungeon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_h9a-h77RVE I definitely did make a few mistakes there, especially in the 8:30 ballpark. You might as well read the video description if you made it this far.

So far i'm in floor 97 but... that floor is really unfair. First with Eiki who can literally remove all my P points, and FLANDRE who can one shot DESTROY me while looking for a exit to the next floor. I have the Sword of Hisou, the Phoenix Raising, and the Time Stop Watch (i think). Unfortunately i do no have any seals (because i'm kinda scared of what could happen since there's no combo gaps in this dungeon apparently and i couldn't find the right kappa and i don't really trust unidentified items since some are cursed or really bad.) Worst of all even since my weapons is on high level (50, 60, or so) i barely do many damages to big ennemies or having effective defense against them. And the thing is i really need to clear that cursed dungeon in order to get a specific material and achivement. Any ideas ? I couldn't find the "final moment eradication" since i've completely banished Hina because i was scared she would curse anything i have. As if it wasn't enough there's Creator Kisume beside Big Flandre, who i really hate them with passion through the entire game. As for Big Medicine, and Big Yamame or Big Yuyuko it's a big nope since either they can poison me and kill me very easily, or ate my foods in Yuyuko's case. So i'm pretty much either stuck here or give up and lost my progress.

On the room where i'am i'm stuck with Big Eiki and the mask girl who is really annoying (Kokoro i think), in the west and the south corridor there's another Kokoro, in the south room there's a sleeping Creators Kisume, and in the east room there's a Big Flandre. I don't have many time to heals before Big Flandre is in the same room as me as the west room is a dead end and i'm really not confident about fighting Creator Kisume

If there's no options for me then i'll try to retry the dungeon as Kasen, or Flandre.

lmao I haven't played this game for ages and don't really understand any of the stuff I've written anymore. Sounds like gibberish at this point. Holy cow it's like I have amnesia, I really gotta play this one again

FINALLY i've completed the dungeon and thank GOD i've found a turbulence that led me to the 98th floor. I did suffer less then the previous floor there. In the 99th floor an enemy did powered up my attack and my defense and speef wich helped me alot to avoid Creator Kisume, and Big Flandre. If there's something i've learn there: DO NOT BREAK THE WALL WHEN THE SHOPKEEPER IS HERE as trying to exit the floor will be immediately treated as thief as they became suspecious of your actions. Worse, if any Flandres is in the floor if you break the walls she'll almost explode you as you takes heavy damages and every single items in the floor transform them into a Useless Trash which is no good when the shopkeepers is in the said floor. That's how it killed me in my very first attempt. Though i did got a bad surprise to find Big Yuuka in the final floor but i just either ignore them or just follow them. I thank god that i didn't end up into an Pandemonium floor as it would be unbeatable with all of these big enemies. (Well unless maybe "It's a Bug house" with full of Wriggles)
