Testlive builds can be played online on an official Funcom server or offline locally. The Testlive server will be reset constantly, so try not to get very attached to your progress there.

I doubt if deleting it would interfere with the regular game; but I don't know, so you may not want to risk it unless someone else knows for sure. However... if you can't (or just choose not to risk) deleting it; If I may make a suggestion; you could create a category to dump IT and any other unwanted freebies, then just keep them minimized. I know it's not what you're hoping... but if worse comes to worse...!!!
Dont want to bloat up my steam library with a testclient for every game in the future. Bad gamedesign and i hope i can delete it ;) Or they could integrate it in the main game :)
