Having said that, I prefer the actual match-3 mechanics of HP2. I like having to manage the 2 girls, the baggage system keeps things interesting, as does the stamina system. Also, the gift giving has been streamlined, and I personally enjoy that.
Voice acting is top notch on both games, which for me is HUGE.
The interaction with the girls was better, you built more of a connection with them.
Mechanics of the game more pick up and play and joy to be had in making big combos. Even alpha mode allowed for different play styles.
Hp2 girls all annoying, no connection to them in interactions. mechanics of the game now frustrating.
HP 1 had more of a charm, you genuinely felt emotional connections to the girls. Especially for a first time play through it was incredible! Hit all the emotional points and was just great.
HP 2
I agree with you game play wise was way better and the core mechanics were improved upon. Great voice acting, hilarious moments, but overall I felt talking to the girls seemed pointless. Yeah, you unlocked baggage + plus items, yet I found myself honestly not caring about anything the girls had to say, because you were just a third wheel.
HP 2
Definitely had neat concepts, better game play mechanics, great voice acting, and art. It did get extremely tedious, because I felt literally no emotional attachments to any of the girls. The girls were way more focused on each other and you just feel like the ackward third wheel just there for the ride.
HP 1
The girls had layers to them, talking to them was rewarding, and they felt like real life women we met at some point that we could understand. In HP 2, all the girls just felt so vanilla and one dimensional. The overly dumb weeb, the overly gold digger and Jessie lost the fun quirkiness that she had in HP 1.
HP 1
Gives you a more genuine dating experience. The build up from going from socially ackward loser to a love magnet was so satisfying. You felt like you could literally lose a girl's interest by saying something stupid or that the girl does not agree with.
HP 2
All the first time interactions feels so safe. Theres no risk of saying something dumb that is going to affect your relationship with the girls. Even failing a date feels like "meh" just try again. Yes, most of the girls are forgettable and I honestly had 0 connection to any of the girls minus Kyu.
Well HP2 didn't have Audrey in it, so-
HP 1 by far. After playing throug HP 2 it got very tedious after 15 hrs and I just startes skipping through all the dialog when talking to the girls, because nothing they said mattered. Also, the girls were just to easy.
From a story stand point, it makes sense why the girls became easy. After Kyu (bless her double thick thighs) helped us in the first game we had years to work on our game. Yeah, the girls were so easy, the double date system was a fresh change, but you honestly just felt like none of the women cared about you. 88% the interactions are the girls talking to each other.
I honestly thought that Audrey would be the worst character ever written, then came Huniecam Studio and Brooke, then came Huniepop 2 and Polly (Male).
I love what HP2 did for the game, it is a genuinely different game. But it did have its shortcomings. I wanted to get to know the characters individually.
The baggage is awesome, and requires you to bring date gifts.
At first I did not like Audrey, I thought she rude, annoying, plus she smoked which was a turn off for me. After talking to Kyu and she mentioned how Audrey was a Virgin it blew my mind and I was like this girl has layers to her! Lol,
Polly in HP 2, I just do not not really like her personality. To be fair, i actually do not really like any of the girls in HP 2, but I did enjoy the core mechanics of the game way more. If HP 1 had HP 2 game play, art style.... Do not even get me started on how Hyped I would be lol.
As I mentioned before, HP2 has better gameplay mechanics, art style and I like the dialog during the first encounter with the girls. Once you start to really dig into the game, other then talking to the girls to unlock more items/baggage It was pointless. Example, I get all the information on a girl, and then, okay I know all her interests, but why do I care.
HP1 talking to the girls created layers, charm, and that bond to the girls. To be fair, HP2 is a different game from HP1. I had an alright experience and it was nice to see them try something different and new to make the game fresh.
The rest is a downgrade, and it makes me sad.I was hoping that stuff would be improved to at least be up to HP1 levels through patches but it looks like it won't.
