Not working with Elite Dangerous
I just tried ViewTracker with DCS World and Arma 3 and everything worked fine. When I tried Elite Dangerous (Horizons) it does not work. I can't find any settings in the Elite Dangerous Options to enable or disable it. The ViewTracker interface shows it working (littel Robot moving and stuff). Any ideas? Running windows 10 Pro, Logitech C920 HD camera. Thanks.

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been looking into this and it seems that Elite Dangerous is temperamental about loading the DLL required for face tracking. It might help to move ViewTracker to your C: drive if it's currently installed on a different drive. Make sure to use Steam to move it (right click on ViewTracker in your Steam library -> properties -> local files -> move install folder). After moving the install directory begin tracking in ViewTracker before launching Elite Dangerous.

In general it shouldn't matter where ViewTracker is installed but Elite Dangerous appears to have an issue that prevents it from loading the necessary DLL from certain drives.

No problem. I work in the developer world and get the occasional delayed reponse situations. As far as Elite Dangerous goes though, I did move the ViewTracker intall from my E drive to C Drive. I actually unistalled it from E, rebooted and reinstalled to C. I didn't mess with any registry stuff. Tried Arma 3 and DCS again and they worked flawlessly. When I tried Elite Dangerous again I get the same result and its not working. In all situations I did have ViewTracker running first and head tracking working before starting up Arma3, DCS and Elite Dangerous. I also went to the ViewTracker directory and ran it as Admin to see if this made a difference and unfortunately it didn't. Do you think there might be a way to trick ED into loading the required DLL? I have to say even with the ED problem which is a little disappointing, I am really impressed on how well and accurate the tracking is in DCS and Arma3. If I can ever get ED to work I may just re-box my Trackir 5. No need to wear "mouse antlers" on the side of head phones is a reall plus.

So a quick update: I was able to get ViewTracker to work with Elite Dangerous but it took a little work around. I brought out my old DIY point tracker headset and used Opentrack (using the Pointrack input option) to run it. After it starts to work in Eltie Dangerous I shut it off and start ViewTracker and Vola it ViewTracker works! Unfortunately I have to repeat this process to each time to get ViewTracker to run with ED but it does work. When it works it runs really good, great tracking etc and no problems. It looks like running opentrack first gets the required DLL running for ViewTracker to work. In the past when I just used the DIY Opentrack method it worked with ED everytime. Maybe there is a code setting in ViewTracker (since it looks similar to opentrack) that needs tweaking or something to get the DLL running? I see Freetrack is used in the Output option as well and maybe the two are connected in some way causing the issue? Anyway, thought I would let you know I did get it to work this way. I still think ViewTracker is a great product and am enjoying the cable free headtrakcing experience and hope you are able to keep tweaking it down the road to support more games and Apps in the future. - JP

Another update: Finally got ViewTracker Working reliably with Elite Dangerous Horizons 64 bit.

On ViewTracker settings:
Output= freetrack 2.0 Enhanced,
Setting (Hammer icon) for Output is set to "Use TrackIR, hide FreeTrack"

The above works every time I run ED Horizons now :)

If the Output settings are set to "Use FreeTack, hide TrackIR" or "Enable Both" it does not work.

I am not sure if anything I did previously, like the starting Opentrack first test or moving the ViewTracker install to C drive in a my above previous comment, contributed to anything or not. However with the current Output settings above it works for me now.

Hope this helps - JP
