Disappointed with Perks
Perks seem to randomly be assigned to the worst party members. Melee guy getting ranged buffs, tanks getting the cat to not be attacked, etc. Stupid stupid system. Fix your damn game.

if you move your equipment from one character, to another, they will be almost the same, with a different face.
Maybe change your character choices, for roles.

I just got on my main wizard the perks that reduce the damage by 20 percent ( and gives other party member +10% ) and I just hate it... I"d like to be able to remove the perk or choose between two perks with the quest.
I spent many golds to up the intellect of rosaline so I dont want to change her role...

agree perk system need reworked... and more generally the level up system (I'm not going to dwell on the strange distribution of points at each lvl up here.)

why not give the player the possibility to choose from a skill tree where we could choose according to the passive bonus class or / and and why not special attacks (with their own animation).

it would involve a little more the player than just choosing what to craft, equip or sell

I particularly like the perk Noel gets where not wearing head armour gives +10% dodge (Which is bad because either that head armour could give agi for dodge, accuracy and dmg, or extra survivability which might be more useful as Noel is a squshy ranger). It's a very niche and damn near useless perk in my opinion.

What about the research speed perk on one of the last characters which you'll probably get after you've researched everything.
This game in general feels like they were 1/10 done with it and suddenly were told to release.

They are Random. At least i saw this game on a video getting different ones them i did. haven't tried starting the game again.

They have different lvl up skills, so some raise 2 point stamina and sgt, others raise int and Agi.
you CAN just change gear and work around their perks other then their stats, or just a little extra gold for training and there wont even be a difference in points.
I think that's exactly the "jerky" humors the dev's were going for it. Can't say i like it...but i respect their balls to do so.
(making your high vit player afraid of getting hit, goes with her character. Also she's the best heavy hitter after she can't miss)

About the distance perk for the strength guy it's cuz he is a dragon slayer you need to equip him with spears or the great end-game trident

The perk that reduces your damage bu 20% and increases the other two party members' damage by 10% is ♥♥♥♥.. however I worked around it.
I gave her all of the 'increase party damage' gear with the max number of damage points I could craft, on her.
So she's assisting percent damage and actual damage for all party members. Sure she's nerfed in other areas, but at least she's "in the rear with the gear" sorta character.

The other perks.. Well the 10% chance for double loot is nice

the Kitty one is wasted

Kitty looks awesome on runs, but it's 10% chance if a monster hits the character, they won't hit them again on next attack?

that sucks

Above is for Mona

Also Hoshi's talent needs to be changed to '5% chance to stun mob on attack' instead of needing to be a ranged weapon

I'm not sure why it isn't obvious to some players, but ... each character is NOT created equal for you to customize as you want: they're given strengths and weaknesses that you're meant to pay attention to. I'm also just stating this to make sure everyone understands ... sprites, perks, stat growth, and names are set. There's a pool of characters the game chooses from that are already 'figured out.' It isn't a brand new RNG character every time you hit hire.

The only thing that is different from playthrough to playthrough is which characters you get when you click on the hire button.

If you get a new character, pay attention to the stats that go up by 2 when you hover over the level up button ... these are the character's "strong" stats. You're meant to train and gear that character up to go along with a job that fits those stats.

So knowing this, understand that it's silly to try to shoehorn an obvious meatshield into a mage job just because you want a mage. It's a lot easier just to accept what the game wants each character to be. You'll get enough diversity as you go that you'll be able to represent any kind of lineup that you really want.

That said, gear itself adds a LOT of stats (you can really boost dexterity up by a lot early game with a few automatic recipes, for example), and you're always free to train stats up for relatively cheap (compared to leveling) if you want to break the mold a little.

Perks go to the characters that were meant to have them, plain and simple. If you dressed someone up to be on the front lines that has really weak stamina and strength growth, that's on you for not paying even a tiny amount of attention to the numbers. That isn't to say you're stupid or anything, just -- don't assume it's the game's fault right off the bat.

It's also not unfixable if you realize you've made this mistake ... just get new gear and rethink your character's role.

Or just look at the stats the moment you hire them.
If their highest is str then :lunar2019shockedpig: str is their main stat and so on.
But as someone put it "meaningless, that's like 1/4 of a equipment" so whatevs.

Perks need a Quality of Life check to make sure they are meaningful and add something to the game

10% chance for an enemy not to use it's next attack on you after hitting you has no effect

Should consider making it 100% dodge (meaning you will dodge 1 attack) for 1 attack after taking damage from an enemy (has a cooldown of 2 turns etc)

That would be meaningful
