You need to unlock "shards" to unlock more passives and abilities for each Valorant (basicly play each game mode).
Dreamstones have materials to upgrade equipment, but you need to unlock higher level first (completing Dreamstones).
Then you can play Lightbringer to unlock "cursed" gear (havent found anything cool, but the mode is fun to play with more players).
Finally you need to "conquer" Ascent Tower of Trials (the hardest game mode), there is the end game stuff ("Prime" grade).
Lightbringer you mean those Earth, Water Air things? I didn't understand what to do inside of these tbh....
I tried matchmaking but it bugged we couldn't go any further in Tower of trials, and this feeling of "getting carried" is bad.
I would reccomend picking the valorplates that look like they have shard abilities you would have fun using. You can usually unlock the 1st and 2cnd shards without much trouble.
In order of Difficulty I would say Repeating story bosses > Dreamstones > Tower of Ascension > Spirit Realms and then Lightbringer mode being the "hard" mode end game stuff.
None of it is really challenging until youre facing enemies 10 - 20+ levels above your plate and gear, thats when you need to start putting together builds or synergizing equipment with skill points and such.
I find end game to be fresh because if you get bored of doing one thing you can just do something else for a while and mix and match and find what end game mode you think is the most fun and get upgrades/gear/etc doing it.
You need to hit those beacons (pilars) to "light up" (ignore enemies or you will run out time), The "darkness" will keep consuming light, so you need to be fast (light cures darkness). The "white mark" will lead you to a "dark vortex", you need to kill enemies. Once you have enough a "light ball" (sanctum) will appear, you need to "scort" it. Once you done, you can do optional stuff to increase difficult and loot.
Follow the "white mark" (again). You will find a "vortex", activate it. Fight to gather enough "souls" (light), once you done, you need to "scort" it again. Each "Vortex" you activate, you will give a "curse". You need to speak with "vortex" to get "curse".
You can also find "light chest", they have enemies linked to them, so you need to kill them all. This will fill the "light" bar a lot.
In the Final Spot, you need to defend position, while gathering souls. Once you have enough. Light will cover the darkness and you win.
(Edited because it has errors).
Now it all makes sense, I get the most dense and idiotic players - no matter the mode on matchmaking. They should remove the option to boost completely, it was a misstake.
The rest is pretty salty. You cant expect every matchmaking goes well. Thats the fun part. If you cant stand frustration, you should just play premade.
When you finish normal Dremastones you should start upgrading volatiles to 70 lvl for better gear. To upgrade Volatile Dremastone you should keep the dreamstone stable long enough through the various rounds of fights, at some point the boss action will be to raise the level by one. This can occur more than once within a single dreamstone run.
Once you finish the volatile dreamstone, you will receive a new volatile dreamstone that reflects the levels you raised during your previous completion. Rince repeat
Dreamstones were kinda going continiously with your level, but with a boosted char I can't get it why would I do level 30 to 48 if i'm level 50 for example...
You have to finish the lower ones, to enter the exalted and higher ups. There is no avoiding in doing them. Boosted or not.
If the idea was to pull more players in with different version, there would have been millions of options better than this absolute none sense. GJ who ever came up with this.
The game pretty much starts with 50 anyway, not like you gained anything.
A Few hours spare I guess and a lot of confusion extra.
1. Finish Dreamstones ; ALL of them.
2. Play Lightbringer / Towers (there are 3) / Spirit Realms ::: mabey some Dreamstones in between.
3. Exalt EVERY Valorplate ; unlock all shards - should take you a while.
That's rly it, no rocket sience - you target the best rolls possible for your build in mind.
Can take you from a few hours farming depending on the RNG to a few 100 hours.
There is not much to it, but I highly doubt you have beaten the highest tower yet.
One thing is for sure, without a good build fully upgraded and BIG numbers - you gonna stand no chance in the tower later.
It's a numbers game in the end for ''best'' builds possible, what ever you target.
Most people prob. want to see BIG numbers, one way to go about.
If you don't care about this aspect, there is nothing for you to see or do in the game.
If your build can hold up against 10 bosses at once for example including Macros - gg I guess. You did it, a working build. + your own skill is a big factor as well.

Ive played more than 50hrs on Epic and boosted to continue on Steam. Excellent Combat once you expand all your skills.
First do the campaign, so you meet every kind of enemy and all the bosses. Then do (normal) Dreamstones up to lvl. 60. You get skill points at every other.
You should unlock some of your character's Shard, for that you need to go in Spirit Realm and Ascended Tower, Lightbringer.
Here's a guide for Lightbringer: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sLqzlBy1dAIZMKdxk03IWzDi2ko5mNuAw6974wt8bTI/edit
You can find YouTube guides, too, Google is your friend!
Lightbringer is easy if you know the mechanics (always open light caches, apply at least 1 curse). Although difficulty may depend on what Valorplate you use. (Mesa's area poison makes your life much easier in Lightbringer.)
edit: Do not forget to check the vendor next to the forge after finished Dreamstones, you can get good "Seethe" weapon or augments there for money!
