As far as redeeming them and having them work on one save game? There is only one save, your valorplates are all tied to your account/save. You dont have multiple instances in different progression tiers. When you switch plates, they are the same level, you literally can copy paste gear from a plate you are using to another.

You can create Multiple Characters (when choosing "Select Character" in the ESC Menu) therefore Multiple Savegames. That's what I meant.

So I just checked myself. And I can Confirm that the Reddit User, whoes name I forgot was right. Once a Skin was claimes for one Character/Savegame. you can NOT use the Skin in other savegames nor can rou re claim the skin again.

Why would you have multiple saves even if you could? There is literally absolutely ZERO reason to do this. Ever. Your entire progression system in this game is universal through all your valorplates. There is nothing different you can do in a different game, no alternate story no alternate anything. This whining boggles the mind.

works fine for me on Steam, I can't open the shift code console ingame so I use the website from gearbox - works very well
